Donna Wilson was elected to the Fairborn City Council in November 2013, and sworn in on December 2, 2013. A resident of Fairborn for the past 41 years, Donna is a retired teacher and former small business owner of Fairborn Florist.

Donna received her B. S degree from New Mexico State followed by her Masters in Education from the University of Houston. She has served as a troop leader for both Boy and Girl Scouts, a PTO President, exercise instructor, and a soccer and band mom. She taught first, second and fifth grade as well as remedial reading and special education.

After selling her business in 2007, Donna trained to become an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist. As a naturalist, most of her work has been done in the Fairborn City Parks where she has participated in children's programs, worked with her husband and Fairborn High School ROTC to remove invasive honeysuckle and restore the health and beauty of the forest area in Community Park.

Donna has served on the Parks Advisory Board and is the current President of the Parks Foundation. In 2012, she was honored to be inducted into the Greene County Women's Hall of Fame from her endeavors and work in the field of wildlife and nature preservation.

It is through conversations with family and friends who own businesses that Donna became involved with the Economic Restructuring Committee for the Downtown Fairborn Betterment Association. She served on the Fairborn Strategic Planning Committee; subsequently also being part of Business Services, Housing Committee and Bike/Pedestrian Committee with the goal to "Move Fairborn Forward." She is now serving as one of the Council's representatives on the Fairborn Development Corporation.

Donna is a Fairborn Rotarian and has served as International and New Generation Chairs. She has organized many fundraising events and special projects. She chartered and was the Rotary liaison for the Fairborn High School Interact Club for six years. She was elected Rotarian of the Year in 2009.

Donna and her husband, Andrew, have three grown children and two grandchildren. In addition to her work on Council, she is also the Fairborn Senior Citizens Board of Trustees Secretary.
