On December 7, 2015, Marilyn McCauley took the oath of office to serve the citizens of Fairborn after being elected in November 2015 for a second four-year term.

Marilyn received an Associate Degree in Administrative Management from Sinclair Community College. She graduated from Wright State University in 1989 with a Bachelors in Business Management and earned her Masters in Business Management from Central Michigan University in 1993.

Marilyn is an active member of the community. She is a member of the Fairborn Area Chamber Commerce, Rotary Club, Fairborn YMCA Board and Christmas in Action. She also is Founder and Chair of Operation Fairborn Cares, a non-profit helping returning vets from Iraq and/or Afghanistan. Marilyn is a board member of the Family Violence Prevention Center and Greene County Housing Agency as well as a member of the 100 Women of Greene County Making a Difference. As a WSU Alumni she has been selected to Alumni Emeriti organization.

In 2009, the Dayton Daily News recognized Marilyn as one of the Ten Top Women of the Miami Valley. Twenty years earlier she was selected as a Top Ten Business Woman of the American Business Women's Association.

From 1967-1996, Marilyn worked for the U.S. Air Force which included 25 years at WPAFB and 3.5 years at the Pentagon. From 1996-1999 she worked for the Federal Aviation Agency at its headquarters in Wash DC retiring from the federal government in 1999. She started an Earned Value Management Consulting Firm in mid-1999 and served clients with the Air Force, Navy, Army, VA, FAA, DOE, FBI and civilian businesses. Her consulting opportunities took her to Russia, Ukraine, and Kuwait

Marilyn has lived in Fairborn for 25 years and 12 years in the Washington, DC area. She has two grown children, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
