Paul Keller was sworn in as Mayor of Fairborn on December 4, 2017, after being elected in November 2017. He began serving on Council in November 2013 and then as Deputy Mayor from 2015-2017. Born and raised in middle Tennessee, Paul joined the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and was a crew chief on B-52 aircraft. He also deployed with his team of Combat Logistics Support personnel to the Middle-East during his career and retired as Chief Master Sergeant, USAFR, in 1995. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Park College.
Paul has over 30 years combined government service - civil service, active duty and reserve time with a majority of the time at Wright Patterson AFB. His range of work experience includes program management, logistics, and research and development.
He has participated in several efforts such as the Fairborn Development Corporation, the Fairborn Housing Advisory Committee, and the Storm Water Advisory Committee. He participated in the last strategic planning committee on housing. Paul led the effort to develop the City's Strategic Plan and is a strong supporter of the Citizens Leadership Course. He is also a strong advocate of economic development for our downtown and community.
Paul does volunteer work on Fairborn senior housing through Christmas in Action and is the current treasurer of Operation Fairborn Cares that helps post 9/11 veterans fit back into society. He is an active member in the Fairborn Chamber of Commerce and the Fairborn Rotary. Paul has served as the previous chair of the Downtown Fairborn Betterment Association, Economic Revitalization Committee. He is also an active member in WPAFB Chief's Association, Miami Valley Military Affairs Association, American Legion and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Paul has lived in and around Fairborn since 1972, and is a businessman with both residential and commercial real estate investments throughout Fairborn.
Paul is married to Linda Keller; they have five children and five grandchildren.
