Located near the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the station’s primary response district is the northern portion of the City, including the downtown area and parts of Bath Township.

The current apparatus assignment at Station Number 1 is Rescue-Engine 1, Medic 1, Battalion 1, Reserve Medic 1R, and Reserve Engine 1R. The station is staffed 24/7 by five to six personnel, including the Battalion Chief. The Company Officer and Pump Operator are assigned to the Engine, with two Firefighters assigned to the Medic unit. All personnel are Paramedic certified, and all front-line apparatus is Advanced Life Support (ALS) equipped.

In front of the station is the Fairborn Firefighter Memorial. The bell on the granite pedestal came from the bell tower in Old Station Number 1 when it was a schoolhouse. A small section of the fire pole from the old station is mounted in the new station's lobby.

Located just off Dayton-Yellow Springs Road near I-675, the station's primary response district is southeast of the City and parts of Bath Township. Currently housed at Fire Station, Number 2 are Medic 2, Quint 2, ATV-1, and Reserve Medic 2R. The station is staffed by two, three, or five personnel depending on daily staffing. When staffed with two or three, the Medic or Quint responds depending on the call type. When staffed with five, a Company Officer, firefighter, and Pump Operator are assigned to the Quint, and two Firefighters are assigned to the Medic unit. All personnel are Paramedic certified, and all apparatus is equipped with Advanced Life Support (ALS).

Equipped with the only fire-training tower in the City, the tower is useful for crews to practice high-rise evolution, rope rescue training, and aerial apparatus operations. Crews can pump almost 1,000 gallons of water into the tower to simulate supplying a sprinkler system in a commercial-type building.

The station has a formal training room that is also utilized by the public as a community room. The building is also equipped with a police substation.

The station is located on Yellow-Springs Fairfield Road near I-675 and primarily responds to the northeast portion of the City and Bath Township. Currently housed at station Number 3 are Engine 3 and Medic 3. The station is staffed 24/7 by two or four personnel, depending on daily staffing. When staffed with two, the Medic or Engine responds depending on the call. When staffed with four, a Company Officer and Pump Operator are assigned to the Engine, and two Firefighters are assigned to the Medic unit. All personnel are Paramedic certified, and all apparatus is equipped with Advanced Life Support (ALS). Included in the response district of Station Number 3 are two nursing homes, I-675 and a large portion of Bath Township.

The station also has a police sub-station.

Located on Funderburg Road near Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, this station primarily responds to the southwest portion of the City and Bath Township. This station also covers Wright State University. It was originally built in 1975 and remodeled in 2007. Station Number 4 houses Medic 4, Engine 4, and Reserve Medic 4R. The station is staffed 24/7 by four or five personnel, depending on the daily staffing. Quint 4's crew consists of a Company Officer, and Pump Operator, and Firefighter when staffing allows. Two additional Firefighters are assigned to the Medic unit. The additional Firefighter on the Quint is lost when staffing is limited to four personnel. All personnel are Paramedic certified, and all front-line apparatus is Advanced Life Support (ALS) equipped.

This station also has a police sub-station.
