Fairborn's administrative offices, Council Chambers, and Police Station are located at the Government Center. The Government Center is a central point for questions or general information about Fairborn.  All City facilities are handicap-accessible. The Government Center is located at 44 West Hebble Avenue between Broad Street and Central Avenue.

General building hours are 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays; however, the police station is open 24 hours. All City offices are closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (offices close at noon), Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve (offices close at noon)

The Government Structure
The City of Fairborn has a Council-Manager form of government. Under this form of government, the Council is responsible for the legislative function of the municipality through establishing policy, passing legislation, and developing an overall vision for the community. The Council voted into office by public elections appoints a city manager, who oversees administrative operations and implements its policies. The Council also appoints citizens to committees that help to make recommendations to the Council.
