Summer Camps 2024

FULL-DAY CAMPS: $40/CAMP; $48/NON-RESIDENT

E-Sports Club Camp (Ages 10-16 yrs)
Tues- Thurs, June 4-6 • 12pm-3pm
WSU E-Sports Center @ 029 Student Union
Wright State University
Meet WSU E-sports Club members who will PLAY with your camper all week long. This camp focuses on physical endurance, mental prowess, and video game tournaments. Space is limited. Facial masks are mandatory. Camper check-in and out is in front of Millet Hall. This camp is designed for ages 10-16yrs due to E and T-rated games like Valorant® and League of Legends®

Basketball Camp (Ages 6-10 yrs)*
Mon-Fri, June 10-14 • 1pm-4pm
Located at Community Park Basketball Courts
This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progression-based curriculum, we focus on the whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Participants will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages.

Artists in Nature Camp (New)
Tues-Thurs, June 11-13 • 9am-12pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
Explore the wonders of art and nature at our camp! Create beautiful nature-inspired paintings and learn to sculpt animals from clay. Dive into the great outdoors with guided nature hikes, discovering the beauty of our world while fostering creativity and appreciation for the environment.

Games Galore (New)
Tues, June 18th • 9am-3pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
We LOVE to PLAY! This day is dedicated to just that. Campers will learn how to play variations of classic games with goofy twists. Soccer pool, extreme mini golf, and more. Kids will leave camp feeling silly while learning how to modify and adjust to game rules.

Low-Key Camp
Tues, June 20th • 9am-3pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
If you have a kid who just likes to chill, this camp is for them. This camp day is full of fun and relaxing activities like a short sensory nature walk, hanging hammocks, reading and art time, and playing board games.

Mini Hawk (Baseball, Basketball & Soccer) (Ages 5-9 yrs)*
Mon-Fri, June 24-28 • 1pm - 4pm
Located at Community Park Shelter #2
This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics to learn the essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer. Explorer balance, movement, hand/eye coordination through games and activities.

Camper Olympics
Tues-Thurs, June 25-27• 9am-12pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
Divide into teams and spend the week competing in the Camp Olympics. Complete with opening torch ceremony, campers will compete in a variety of Olympic -themed categories like weightlifting, tug-o-war, hurdles, discus throwing and more with a fun camp twist. Camp ends with a closing ceremony and medal for the Olympians.

H2-OH! Camp
Tues-Thurs, July 9-11 • 9am-12pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
Back by popular demand, this camp will have kids screaming H2-OH all week long! Spend your week with dihydrogen monoxide (H20) aka water. Campers will enjoy creating their own water bottles. Learning about the waterways and their impact at the park. Go fishing at the pond. PLAY all sorts of water games too!

Beginning Golf (Ages 5-9 yrs)*
Mon-Fri, July 15-19 • 1pm-4pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
Skyhawks Beginning Golf is powered by Payne Stewart Golf Experiences, the recommended entry-level golf program for PGA Junior Golf Camps. The unique, games-based play program and modified learning equipment make it easier for kids to hit the ball and experience early success. Putting, chipping, pitching and full swing, are all taught through games, simple repetitive motions and learning rhymes that make it easy for young kids to remember and repeat. Specially designed, age-appropriate golf equipment is provided.

Adventure Seekers (New)
Tues-Thurs, July 16-18 • 9am-12pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
The question for each day is “What are we doing today?” The answer will always be “Let’s go on an adventure!” Embark on thrilling adventures at our camp! Learn to navigate through the wilderness with orienteering and other thrilling ways to stay IN MOTION. Gain confidence and teamwork skills as you explore the great outdoors, creating lasting memories and friendships along the way.

Wet, Wacky, and Wild Camp
Tues-Thurs, July 23-25 • 9a-12pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
Do your kids love to be silly? This camp focuses on the weird, the wacky, and all sorts of wet & wild FUN! Days will be filled with games like water balloon pinata, toss-across, nature drawing goes weird, comedy luncheon (jokes by campers) and much more. You’ll be laughing all the way home.

LOL and more! (New)
Tues-Thurs, July 30-August 1 • 9am-12pm
Located at Community Park- Shelter #2
We can’t think of a better way to end the summer than LOL-ing! Join us for a week of laughter, observation, and love at our LOL camp! Explore the park through scavenger hunts and nature walks. Then unleash your creativity with fun drama and improv games. Experience the joy of laughter while sharpening your observation skills, making friends, and creating unforgettable memories in the great outdoors.

Tennis Camp (Ages 6-12 yrs)*
Mon-Fri, July 29- August 2 • 1pm-4pm
Located at Wedgewood Park
Grab your tennis racquet and get ready to play! Whether you’re a beginning, an intermediate or an advanced player, this program will improve your game and help you get more enjoyment from tennis. Our tennis programs focus on skill refinement as well as practice and match play to develop consistent, well-rounded tennis players. Each player is given personal attention and taught through repetition in an enjoyable, lively atmosphere. Skyhawks Sports tennis breaks down the fundamental skills of tennis through easily understood games and exercises to help improve the athlete’s overall coordination and technique. Players learn proper grips, footwork, strokes, volleys and serves during a series of drills designed to teach skills in a fun and dynamic way. In addition to developing a love for tennis, athletes will learn the rules and etiquette that make tennis such an exciting game to play. Due to limited court space, these programs fill quickly.
