Welcome to the Fairborn City ParksThe City of Fairborn has a special commitment to recreational areas. The Parks & Recreation Division maintains 753.201 acres of parkland consisting of 22 parks including a nature reserve, a historical home, and the Wright Brothers Huffman Prairie Bikeway. Discover the wonder of our parks, and take time to discover what our parks have to offer: 19 shelters; a skate park; 13 softball diamonds (two lighted), two lighted baseball diamonds; 14 basketball courts (six lighted); 14 tennis courts (eight lighted); 12 soccer fields; three fishing areas: one at Community Park and two at the Oakes Quarry Park; two sand volleyball courts; an amphitheater; and a bandstand. If that's not enough, take a stroll on the paved walking path at Community Park, let the kids play to their hearts' content on one of our many playgrounds, or take a hike on a nature trail. Explore the heirloom gardens at the Mercer Smith House, which are considered Ohio's best. The parks provide hours of free family entertainment and enjoyment. Visit a park today!
