The Fairborn Parks and Recreation work with a number of community agencies to create dynamic and family-friendly parades and festivals that make Fairborn a place to call home.
St. Pat-Rock's Day Party - DUE TO COVID-19 THIS EVENTS HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR 2021.
Join us on March 17th, as we CLOSE down the streets for a St. Patrick's Day block party in downtown Fairborn with live music, local food trucks, and ice cold beverages!
Summer Concert Series
Join us for one of the many concerts in Fairborn during the Summer! We have a variety of bands coming to downtown and Community Park to provide you with a great evening.
July 3rd Block Party and 4th of July Parade
Fairborn is the place to be for celebrating our nation's independence. We kick it off on July 3rd at 4:00 pm with a block party on Main Street that has various food, craft, and game vendors and lasts until 10 pm. Then on July 4th at 2pm, we hold our annual parade that comes up from Central Avenue to Main Street featuring a large number of civic groups and community floats. This is a fun event for the entire family.

Bluegrass & Brew Festival
Bring the family and enjoy the summer evening with three bluegrass bands, multiple food trucks, family-friendly activities, FREE Wi-Fi sponsored by Cincinnati Bell, and a beer garden flowing with your favorite brews. Bluegrass & Brew is the First Friday in August annually.
The United States Air Force Marathon Weekend
Back for its 23rd edition, the United States Air Force Marathon which celebrates the birthday of the USAF on the third Saturday in September will consist of a 5K on Friday the 20th and a 10K, Half, and Full Marathon on Saturday morning the 21st. With completely redesigned courses, start line entertainment, an elite program, new start times, and a Fly-Fight-Win Challenge that now allows runners to either compete in the 5K-10K-Half or the 5K-10K-Full, this will certainly be our most exciting year to date.
Hometown Holiday Festival - Parade and Tree Lighting
Join us in celebrating the holiday season and participate in the Fairborn Hometown Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting on Friday, December 3, 2021. We encourage everyone to be a part of this fun, family-oriented event! The parade will begin at Second Street and Main Street and will travel east on Main Street through downtown Fairborn. Parade entry forms must be received by Friday, November 19, 2021.
The Holiday Parade takes place along Main Street, it begins at Second Street and Main Street and will travel east on Main Street through our downtown ending on Central Avenue in front of the Fairborn Chamber of Commerce building. Santa will be at the end of the parade and will light the downtown Christmas Tree! Santa will also be available for a short time after he lights the tree. The Fairborn Civic Band will be playing holiday music at Central Avenue and Main Street during the Festival festivities!
