WHY DID FAIRBORN CHOOSE RUMPKE?
When our contract with Waste Management ended, a competitive proposal process was undertaken as required by ordinance. Rumpke provided the lowest and best cost proposal of the three vendors.
WILL RUMPKE PICK UP BULK ITEMS?
Yes, the contract allows for pick up of three bulk items per week per address. You do not have to schedule the collection, just leave the items at the street the evening before your trash day. For further information on acceptable bulk trash, please see the information below.
WHEN DOES MY TRASH HAVE TO BE AT THE CURB?
To ensure service, trash should be put out to the road the evening prior to your collection day.
I STILL HAVE A WASTE MANAGEMENT CONTAINER, CAN I USE IT?
No Rumpke will not pick up trash or recyclables in containers labeled for other vendors.
WHEN IS MY TRASH DAY?
Trash will now be picked up five days a week in a zoned manner. The map below and spreadsheet located here outline the pickup days.
WHAT DAY WILL MY TRASH BE PICKED UP IF THERE IS A HOLIDAY?
Service for those residents whose collection day falls on the holiday or the days immediately following it will be delayed by one day. During holiday weeks, those with scheduled Friday pick up will have a collection on Saturday.

CAN I GET A SMALLER TRASH CAN?
Yes you can contact Rumpke for a 65 gallon can which will be the same size as the provided recycle can.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY TRASH IS NOT PICKED UP OR I HAVE ANOTHER CONCERN?

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY YARD WASTE?
Yard waste such as leaves and grass clippings can be mixed in with your regular trash in your provided trash container. If you routinely have more yard waste than your bin can handle, you can contract directly with Rumpke for a yard waste can at a cost of $30/month.
