Small Business ARPA Grants

THE CITY OF FAIRBORN ALLOCATES $250,000 TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES RECOVER FROM THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

 FAIRBORN, OHIO – The City of Fairborn is pleased to announce a program for the disbursement of ARPA funds which have been allocated specifically for small businesses within the City of Fairborn. The City has allocated $250,000 to assist small businesses who apply and meet the guidelines of the program. 

Eligible small businesses may apply for one grant of up to $10,000 to use for Covid-19 related expenses. The requirements for eligibility are:

  • The business operates from a commercial location in the City of Fairborn, Ohio.
  • The business must have been in operation on January 1, 2020.
  • The business must have been fully open and operating as of November 1, 2021.
  • The business it not a franchise.
  • The business must be in good standing with City tax payments and regulations.
  • The business has experienced a 25-80% loss in revenue between the end of the calendar years 2020 and 2021.
  • The business had gross receipts of no less than $50,000 and no more than $1 million.
  • The business has fewer than 200 employees.

“This is a great opportunity for us to support the small businesses within the City of Fairborn as they continue to recover from the negative effects of the pandemic” said Fairborn City Manager Rob Anderson.

Applications will be made available starting on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Fairborn Government Building or on the City of Fairborn website. Small businesses may apply anytime between September 1, 2022, and September 30, 2022. All the applications will be evaluated for compliance based on the American Rescue Plan Act guidelines set forth by the Federal Government.
